~Autumn Gardening~

poppies, sweet peas,
broccoli, peas
being in the fresh air
close to the earth
feeling the earth
caring for plants
little hands planting
preparing little beds for you to be
we will watch you grow
and one day laugh in delight
when you give us back gifts
of your surprises...................................................

~ Autumn Soul Fires ~

As the day ends
and night closes in
I light the fire and warm by your glow
burning bright with days of old
you glow so bright and warm my soul
keep my body warm
and give me hope in these dark times
of winter days ahead
an old friend you are I tell you my secrets
dreams and wishes~~
when something is troubling me
I release it into your sacred energy
fire fire burning bright
I am so glad you are here to share my days

Pumpkin Painting

One starry night
a magical pumpkin appeared
and within the pumpkin
lived a very special person
THE PUMPKIN KING ~)~

( the stars are done with beeswax crayon first)
then painted over with watercolour paint
the children were so excited when they appeared.

One Autumn Day
there came some grass
and on that grass grew a
great big pumpkin
so big and round
shinning orange bright
our pumpkin ~

Pumpkin Making

Lots of paper mache strips of paper on a balloon
let to dry then cut into shape
and painted...............

We created these beautiful lanterns together.............

~ Jack O Lantern ~

some careful cutting with a blunt knife.......
determination of a boy..............

Yummy pumpkin soup with farmers bread......
and now dinners with their special jack o lantern
until it gets old and then we put it back in the garden
we gathered the seeds and are drying them out
until next year and we will plant them.......................
so the cycle is whole............

Needle felted Pumpkins

take some magic wool and form a pumpkin shape
then needlefelt together.............................

take some orange wool
tease outward then wrap pumpkin shape
and needlefelt ends, then all over...................
add green top and....................

Autumn Pumpkins for the seasons altar
(they are really sweet).........................

Cardboard Pumpkins & Jack o lanterns

Tracing round and round......................

We glued kite paper behind features
and also glued orange cellophane on top
which created a beautiful effect......................
we painted jack o lanterns first with watercolour paint.

~ Autumn NatureWalk ~

We were very excited
to find out "owls" lived at one of our favourite places.

I`m a tall tall tree
with my leaves falling
down
down
down

It feels so right to me
for my children to live this way
and their childhood to be full of magic and life
spending days in nature
being a family
and just being with life itself
I love you both so so much
and I am so happy to share life and each day with you.
Thankyou for teaching me to be happy!!!!!!!
and live each day with all my heart
like you both do so well***

A quick play at a playground
on the way home...................................

Heading for home
as day ends and night is coming.........

Autumn Adventure~ Leaves Gathering ~

This place is trully beautiful
so open ,so fresh and alive with nature
the openness always uplifts my spirit
with the knowing life is like this.............................
and I am always reminded to live my life from my spirit in this way

The simple delight of sitting and watching ducks
doing what they do, and just being with life................
their simplicity, is so enchanting.

I sat back and watched my children
so happy and full of joy & delight
as they watched the ducks and their surroundings.

they seem so free and enchanted with life......................
and having many moments of awe ......................
(watching a duck skimming across the water`s surface etc....)

It feels so right to homeschool them and spend time
in nature and being close to life in this way.
I looked at them and wonder what life
will bring their way and where they will go...............................
