Summertime

Freshness in the air the days are warmer
time for activity and flowering with the sun

.A seed is planted, watered, rain and sun
and slowly we wait and wait...................
then one day the sunflower starts to show
then we wait and wait until the golden day
when the sunflower opens up
to greet the day and sun.

When we went out into the garden this morning,
we were surprised to see the sunflowers had open wide
the golden day had arrived...........................................

Sunflower`s natural cycle of life
The heat has come
the petals are dropping and being eaten,
the flower starts making seeds,
her gift to us
to plant next year
so the cycle of life goes on......................

We planted tiny tiny seeds
watered them and left them alone
rain and sun came to visit
and each day the plant grew and grew
we became busy with other things
then oneday the plant caught my eye
wow how did you grow so big
look at you and what what is this I have Found....

Little green tomatoes
where did they come from........
why are they not red???

Look at my tomatoes
they are red now
yes and ready to eat...yum.....

Strawberry pots so full of green leaves
one day a simple white flower appears
then .....................................

A beautiful red strawberry comes
ripe from the sun
ready to eat......yum yum yum
gifts to enjoy from mother nature.........

What what is this
I thought I planted tomato seeds
it is growing and growing so big.........

Oh my it is a pumpkin vine

A pumpkin coming for my Jack O Lantern
in Autumn Time...............................
Where where did you come from??????

These are the pots full of greens and herbs we planted together
the children gather greens to put on their evening meals
it is such a nice way to bring natural food to their meals.
